New Brunswick invites candidates in the latest draws, i.e., New Brunswick issued new invitations to immigration candidates in two draws held between March 30 and April 1, 2026. These draws focused on skilled workers in sectors like healthcare, IT, transportation, and manufacturing.

Invitations were issued through the New Brunswick Express Entry Stream and the Atlantic Immigration Program.

Draw Results Overview

In total, 143 ITAs were issued across both programs during these draws, which took place over two days:

Program Pathway Occupational Categories Invitations Issued
NB Express Entry Stream Employment in New Brunswick Health care and IT 25
Atlantic Immigration Program — Transportation and manufacturing 118

In order to be considered for the Express Entry stream, candidates needed to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) before March 29, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Atlantic Standard Time (AST).

For the AIP draw, endorsement applications had to be submitted before March 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. AST.

These are the first draws held in over a month. The previous round, conducted between March 3 and March 6, issued 622 invitations across four streams, including the Skilled Worker Stream and Strategic Initiative Stream.

New Brunswick Express Entry Stream Explained

The New Brunswick Express Entry Stream is linked to the federal Express Entry system. It is meant for skilled workers who already have an active Express Entry profile.

The Employment in New Brunswick pathway targets candidates who are currently living and working full-time in the province in a skilled and non-seasonal job.

Candidates who receive a nomination through this stream get 600 extra CRS points. As a result, this greatly increases their chances of receiving an invitation to apply (ITA) for permanent residence.

Atlantic Immigration Program Details

The Atlantic Immigration Program is a joint effort between the federal and provincial governments. It helps employers in Atlantic Canada hire skilled workers and international graduates when local workers are not available.

Unlike the Provincial Nominee Program, candidates do not need a CRS score. Instead, they must have a valid job offer from a designated employer in New Brunswick.

Since February 2026, New Brunswick has moved its AIP to a pool-based system. This means candidates are selected through draws based on labour market needs, rather than on a first-come, first-served basis.

Applications stay active in the pool for up to 365 days after submission.

Once a candidate receives endorsement from the province, they can apply directly to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada for permanent residence.
