New Brunswick Invites Applicants In The Latest Immigration Draws
New Brunswick invites applicants in the latest immigration draws, i.e., the Government of New Brunswick has invited provincial immigration applicants through several draws held between March 3 and March 6, 2026.
These invitations were issued through different provincial programs, including multiple streams under the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP). Some invitations were also issued through the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).
The draws mainly focused on applicants who have work experience in priority sectors that are important for the province’s labour market.
Results Of The Latest Immigration Draws
In this round of selections, New Brunswick issued a total of 622 invitations to immigration candidates.
Invitations were sent through the New Brunswick AIP and the following NBPNP streams:
- New Brunswick Strategic Initiative Stream
- New Brunswick Express Entry Stream
- New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream
For these draws, the cut-off date for EOI, i.e., Expressions of Interest was March 2, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Atlantic Standard Time (AST). Only EOIs submitted before this deadline were considered.
New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream
Under the Skilled Worker Stream, applicants were invited through two different pathways:
- The New Brunswick Experience pathway; and
- The New Brunswick Graduates pathway.
Applicants were also selected based on the type of occupation they work in. Several priority occupational groups were targeted in this draw.
Moreover, out of the total 622 invitations issued, about 45% were issued through the Skilled Worker stream.
| Pathways | Number Of Invitations Issued | Occupational Categories Selected |
| New Brunswick Experience New Brunswick Graduates | 279 | Health care; Education, social and community services; Construction trades; Professional occupations |
The New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream is designed for foreign workers who already have employment in the province or who have received a job offer from an eligible employer in New Brunswick.
Applicants selected through this stream usually need to meet several requirements.
These requirements generally include:
- Having a full-time, non-seasonal job offer from a New Brunswick employer
- Demonstrating the skills and experience required for the job
- And lastly, meeting minimum language requirements and settlement conditions
New Brunswick Strategic Initiative Stream
In the same series of draws, applicants were also invited through the Strategic Initiative Stream.
Invitations were issued through two pathways under this stream:
- Francophone Workers in New Brunswick; and
- New Brunswick Francophone Priorities.
Unlike some other streams in this draw round, applicants working in all occupational sectors were eligible to receive invitations under this program.
| Pathway | Number Of Invitations Issued | Occupational Categories Selected |
| Francophone Workers in New Brunswick New Brunswick Francophone Priorities | 189 | All sectors |
The Strategic Initiative Stream mainly focuses on French-speaking foreign nationals.
The goal of this stream is to support and strengthen Francophone communities across New Brunswick. Moreover, the province aims to attract French-speaking workers who can contribute to economic growth and community development.
New Brunswick Express Entry Stream
A smaller number of invitations in these draws were issued through the New Brunswick Express Entry Stream.
Only about 4% of the total invitations were sent through this stream.
In addition, applicants selected under this program were again prioritized based on the occupation they work in. Most of the selected sectors were also similar to those chosen under the Skilled Worker Stream.
| Pathway | Number Of Invitations Issued | Occupational Categories Selected |
| Employment in New Brunswick | 29 | Health care; Education, social and community services; Construction trades; Professional occupations |
The New Brunswick Express Entry Stream is connected to the federal Express Entry system.
Moreover, this pathway targets skilled workers who already have an active Express Entry profile and meet provincial requirements.
To qualify under the Employment in New Brunswick pathway, applicants usually must meet the following conditions:
- Have lived in New Brunswick for at least 12 months
- Be working full-time in a skilled and non-seasonal job for a New Brunswick employer
- Have at least 12 months of eligible work experience in the province
Applicants who obtain a provincial nomination through this stream gain an additional 600 points in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). Moreover, these extra points greatly improve their chances of receiving an invitation to apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence.
Atlantic Immigration Program
New Brunswick also issued invitations through the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) during this round of selections.
Similar to other programs, applicants invited through the AIP were also chosen based on their occupations and the needs of the labour market.
| Program | Number Of Invitations Issued | Occupational Categories Selected |
| AIP | 125 | Health care; Education, social and community services; Construction trades; Professional occupations; Transportation; Manufacturing |
