Newfoundland And Labrador Issues ITAs Through A Latest Draw
Newfoundland and Labrador issues ITAs through a latest draw, i.e., the province issued 125 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for provincial immigration to applicants through the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) and Atlantic Immigration Pilot (AIP).
This draw was the eleventh of the year, conducted by the Newfoundland and Labrador Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism (OIM). The office has issued 2,946 ITAs to applicants thus far in 2025.
Draw Details
As Newfoundland and Labrador issues ITAs through a latest draw, let us look at the draw details.
The table below shows the breakdown of ITAs issued by the OIM between NLPNP and AIP.
| Draw Date | Total ITAs Issued | NLPNP ITAs | AIP ITAs |
| October 9, 2025 | 125 | 73 | 52 |
The OIM did not specify which individual streams within the NLPNP these ITAs were issued though.
ITA Requirements
According to the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, individuals seeking to immigrate through the NLPNP or AIP must have a valid job or job offer from an employer in the province.
EOIs that best align with the province’s labor market priorities and economic development goals have been prioritized by the OIM for invitations this year.
Applicants selected under the NLPNP obtain an email notification of their ITA and can submit a full application for provincial nomination through their Immigration Accelerator portal account.
On the contrary, through the AIP, designated employers obtain a notification and an official ITA confirmation letter via the same portal, allowing them to apply for job offer endorsement directly.
All immigration applicants except those already in Canada and applying solely through the NLPNP must be issued an invite code by their employer before submitting an EOI.
Background On Newfoundland And Labrador Immigration
As of 2025, Newfoundland and Labrador’s total provincial nomination allocation stands at 2,525 spaces, NLPNP and AIP, with the majority of invitations dedicated to the former program.
Earlier this year, the province secured an increase to its allocation, granting the OIM an additional 1,000 nomination spaces to address growing labor shortages and population needs. Most of this increase was dedicated to the NLPNP applicants.
The province’s allotment for endorsements under the AIP remains set at 475.
Since adopting an EOI system in February of this year, Newfoundland and Labrador has joined other provinces in implementing a two-step ‘candidate-applicant’ model, streamlining how workers and employers connect to meet ongoing economic and demographic goals.
