Manitoba conducts the first immigration draw of June, i.e., on June 4, 2026, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) held a new immigration draw and invited foreign nationals to apply for provincial nomination through its Skilled Worker Stream.

The invitations were issued to candidates who indicated in their profiles that they had received a direct invitation from Manitoba through one of the province’s strategic recruitment initiatives.

This was Manitoba’s 11th provincial immigration draw of 2026 and continued the province’s efforts to attract workers who can help meet labour market needs.

Draw Details

A total of 104 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were issued to candidates with active Expression of Interest (EOI) profiles through both pathways of the Skilled Worker Stream:

  • Skilled Worker in Manitoba; and
  • Skilled Worker Overseas.

To be considered in this draw, candidates needed to state in their EOI profile that they had received an invitation through a recruitment mission or through the now-expired ‘Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Program Candidates’ (TPP).

Moreover, the largest number of LAAs were issued to MPNP candidates invited through the Employer Services Initiative (38.5%), followed by TPP (37.5%).

Here’s the breakdown of LAA distribution by strategic recruitment initiative:

Strategic Recruitment InitiativeLAAs Issued
Employer Services40
Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Program Candidates (TPP)39
Francophone Community17
Ethnocultural Communities6
Regional Communities2

Among the 104 invitations issued, 15 were sent to candidates who had a job seeker validation code and a valid Express Entry profile number.

The province also noted that some candidates who appeared to meet the draw requirements may not have received an invitation. This could have happened for one of the following reasons:

  • The candidate listed an approved third-party English/ French language test in their EOI profile, but the test identification number was missing or invalid, or the language results had already expired; or
  • The candidates indicated they had received an invitation through a strategic recruitment initiative but did not provide a valid invitation number.

Manitoba also noted that TPP work permit holders with Manitoba Support Letters approved after June 30, 2025, may not have received an ITA yet. The province is currently prioritizing candidates whose support letters were approved before that date.

As of June 4, Manitoba has issued a total of 1,709 LAAs in 2026, all through its Skilled Worker Stream.
