Alberta invites foreign workers in recent PNP draws. The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) invited these workers across multiple sectors and industries to apply for provincial nomination.

Workers were invited for their professional experience and the ability to fill key labor gaps in the Albertan economy.

Summary Of Express Entry Draws: July 3 – July 16

As Alberta invites foreign workers in the recent PNP draws, it is vital to note that in the two weeks between July 3 and July 16, the AAIP held over six draws, with varying draw sizes and cut-off scores.

Four of these six draws were through the Alberta Express Entry stream, an enhanced (or Express Entry-aligned) pathway:

The majority of invitations through these draws were issued through the Alberta Opportunity Stream. Moreover, the Alberta Opportunity Stream is designed for temporary foreign workers currently employed full-time in Alberta and who have a full-time job offer from an Alberta employer in an eligible profession.

Earlier in the year, the AAIP declared that in 2025, the Alberta Express Entry stream would issue invitations based on priority sectors, alongside the stream’s three designated pathways:

  • The Dedicated Health Care Pathway
  • The Law Enforcement Pathway
  • The Accelerated Tech Pathway

The Alberta Express Entry stream prioritizes the following sectors:

  • Construction
  • Agriculture
  • Healthcare
  • Aviation

As of July 16, the AAIP has offered the following numbers for the above streams:
