IRCC invites Express Entry applicants in the latest draw. The immigration department issued 6,000 ITAs in a draw for applicants with French language proficiency. 

To be considered for the draw, applicants needed to have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 408. They must also create an Express Entry applicant profile before 12:28 p.m., Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) on May 6, 2025.

This recent French-language draw becomes the eighth Express Entry draw for these applicants in 2025 and ties for the third-largest draw of the year. Moreover, Francophone applicants have obtained the most ITAs through the Express Entry system over the last 11 months, totalling 42,000 invitations so far. 

French-language proficiency draws have also featured the largest draw sizes of any kind of Express Entry draw this year, with the category commanding the seven largest draws in 2025 (ranging in ITA issuances from 7,500 to 4,500 invitations). 

The latest draw is also the sixth of November and follows a Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draw on November 26, a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw on November 25, and a Healthcare category draw on November 14. 

Thus far, IRCC has issued 94,476 ITAs through the Express Entry system in 2025. 

Express Entry draws this year have focused on PNP draws, with the remainder of Express Entry ITAs dedicated to CEC applicants, applicants with French-language proficiency, and those in the Express Entry priority occupation categories:
